Terms of service
Last updated 10 June 2026
These terms govern your use of Dentologi. By using the site you agree to them, so please read them carefully.
1. About us and these terms
Dentologi is the dental practice directory at www.dentologi.co.uk(the “Service”), operated by Jamjar Studio Ltd(“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 46 Alexandra Road, Norwich, NR2 3EB. These Terms of Service form a legal agreement between you and us. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service.
2. What Dentologi is
Dentologi is an online directory that helps people in the UK find dental practices, and lets people send enquiries to practices. We collate practice information from publicly available open data and from practices themselves. We are an information and introduction service only. We are not a dental practice, we do not provide dental treatment, and we are not a party to any arrangement you make with a dental practice.
3. Not dental or medical advice
Content on Dentologi, including directory listings, articles and guidance, is provided for general information only and is not professional dental, medical or health advice. It is not a substitute for consulting a qualified dental professional. Always seek the advice of a registered dentist regarding any dental condition or treatment. If you have a dental emergency, contact a dental professional or the NHS.
4. Accuracy of directory information
We work to keep the directory accurate, but much of the information comes from third-party open data sources and from practices, and may be incomplete, out of date or contain errors. We do not warrant that any listing is accurate, current or complete, and a listing does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement or guarantee of any practice or of the quality of any treatment. You should verify details directly with a practice before relying on them.
5. Enquiries and connecting with practices
When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to the dental practice(s) you ask to be connected with so they can respond. Any arrangement, appointment, treatment or payment is solely between you and the practice. We are not responsible for the conduct, advice, treatment, availability, pricing or decisions of any practice, and we make no guarantee that a practice will respond or be able to help. How we handle the personal data in your enquiry is explained in our Privacy policy.
6. Practice accounts and claimed listings
If you represent a dental practice, you may create an account to claim and manage your listing. By doing so you confirm that:
- you are authorised to act for the practice and to enter into these terms on its behalf;
- the information you provide is accurate, lawful and kept up to date, and that you hold any registrations and insurance required to operate; and
- you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that takes place under your account.
Paid subscriptions and advertising
Some features, enhanced listings and advertising are paid. Prices and what’s included are shown at the point of purchase. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); by purchasing you also agree to their terms. Unless stated otherwise, paid plans renew automatically for further periods until cancelled, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel a renewal at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. We may change pricing on reasonable notice.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- submit false, misleading or another person’s information without authority;
- scrape, harvest, copy or systematically extract data from the Service except as permitted by the applicable open-data licences;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that contains malware; or
- use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications to practices or users.
8. Intellectual property
The Dentologi name, branding, site design, original content and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for its intended purpose but may not copy, reproduce or exploit our content or branding without our permission. Underlying practice data sourced from public bodies is made available under the relevant open-data licences (such as the Open Government Licence), and those licences govern your reuse of that data.
9. Third-party links
The Service may link to third-party websites and resources. We do not control and are not responsible for them, and a link does not imply endorsement. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these terms, including any implied warranties as to accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your dealings with a dental practice, from reliance on directory information, or for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. Our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim arose.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict or end your access to the Service (including accounts and listings) if you breach these terms or where we reasonably need to. You may stop using the Service or close your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers and liability — will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
15. Contact
